Original Papercuts
This is an art form in which an entire image is hand-cut from paper. My techniques range from detailed pictures constructed with many small, delicately arranged, pieces of paper, to kiri-e, or Japanese cut paper, in which a design or picture is meticulously cut from a single sheet of paper in such a manner that it remains a continuous, connected whole. I have recently been combining the two in a manner that resembles stained glass. Every piece is one of a kind and hand-cut from cardstock with an x-acto knife.
